Connect the MR253 between audio components like you would a normal RCA cable. |
 | The MR253 is not
directional so both ends are interchangeable. |
 | Try to let the stabilizer
hang freely so it is not affected by vibration. |
 | You may add extension
cables if needed to make it reach between audio components, but for best
results try not to or use extension cable as short as possible. The MR253
is 16 inches long but has a maximum span of 12.5 inches between RCA
connectors. Put any extension cable on the side of the MR253 away from the
audio player output. |
 | WARNING: THE PLAYER OUTPUT MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE A CAPACITIVE LOAD OF UP TO
0.006uF. (Best results are obtained with players that can handle a capacitive
load of up to 0.015uF.) THIS IS TRUE FOR MOST CONVENTIONAL COMMERCIAL
PLAYERS. WHEN IN DOUBT (SUCH AS VACUUM TUBE OR OTHER UNCONVENTIONAL TECHNOLOGY), CONSULT THE
MANUFACTURER.
|
 |
Connect the two RCA plugs of the Feedback Stabilizer directly into
left and right RCA outputs of your audio
player. |
 |
Plug your RCA cable (not included) into the Feedback Stabilizer RCA
jacks. |
 |
Plug the other end of your RCA cable into the amplifier audio inputs |
 |
Make sure you connect the Stabilizer directly to the player audio outputs
(or as close as possible for best results). |

WARNING: THE PLAYER OUTPUT MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE A CAPACITIVE LOAD OF UP TO
0.004uF.
In this example picture, a DVD player is shown. The same idea applies to CD
players, VCRs, tape players, preamps, etc. A regular RCA cable (provided by
the user) is shown connected to the stabilizer. The other end of this RCA
cable would be connected to the amplifier inputs.

Remember, every player (or preamp) audio output needs its own Feedback
Stabilizer.
 | If you have a receiver
with Preout jacks and do not use an external amplifier then connect the 4
(QR203/QR103) or 6 (HR203/HR103) RCA plugs of the Feedback Stabilizer directly into
the RCA Preout Jacks. See picture below.
- Make sure you connect the Stabilizer directly to the
receiver Preout jacks
(or as close as possible for best results).
- If there is a subwoofer Preout use an RCA Y-cable to connect the
subwoofer Preout to both the stabilizer and the subwoofer amplifier.
- Tape off any unused RCA output plugs from the Stabilizer so it does not
short to anything.
- Installation of all 4 or 6 Channel Stabilizers
are similar. Shown below is diagram of the HR103
(6 Channels). |

 | If you have a DVD / SACD
player with multichannel RCA jacks (for example 5.1 analog outputs) or you
have a Receiver / Processor connected to an external amplifier then use Y-cables to allow the 4
(QR203/QR103) or 6
(HR203/HR103) RCA plugs of the Feedback Stabilizer
to tap off these RCA jacks. See picture below.
- Make sure you connect the Stabilizer directly to the
audio player outputs (or as close as possible for best results).
- The stabilizer will not help the audio player if the digital connection
is used to carry the sound. Make sure you are using the analog output of
your player to transfer the sound to the amplifier/receiver.
- Tape off any unused RCA output plugs from the Stabilizer so it does not
short to anything.
- Installation of all 4 or 6 Channel Stabilizers
are similar. Shown below is diagram of the HR103
(6 Channels). |

In this example picture, a DVD player
with 5.1 analog audio outputs (6 channels) is shown. To connect the HR103 to
this audio player, 6 RCA Y-cables are connected to the DVD player. One of the Y
connections attach directly to the HR103 box so that it can tap off the DVD
player's output. The other Y connection goes to the 5.1 analog inputs of the
receiver, preamp, or processor using normal RCA interconnect cables (not shown).
This RCA interconnect would attach to the red connectors in the picture below. The
hookup for HR203 is identical.

If you are using the digital inputs to a receiver, the "analog audio
player output" is internal to the receiver and may be unreachable for
stabilization. This may prevent you from realizing the full
potential of sound quality offered by stabilizing the audio player analog
output.
However, if your receiver has Preamp Outputs, it is still possible to
stabilize the internal audio signals. Just connect the Audio Player Feedback
Stabilizers into the RCA preamp out (PRE OUT) jacks. This stabilizes the
internal analog audio circuitry.
 |
The picture below shows a
home theater receiver (such as Pioneer VSX-D812)
where the Feedback Stabilizers are connected to the 5.1 "PRE OUT" RCA
jacks. This offers the ultimate sound for home theater applications. In this
example, an HR103 is used to stabilize the receiver's preamp outputs.
(Notice
that a Y-Cable is used at the subwoofer preout. This allows the Stabilizer
to tap the subwoofer preout and also allow an RCA cable to connect to the
subwoofer. In this case, the cable to the subwoofer (not shown) would
connect to red connector). |

Note:
you can still use the preamp outputs to connect to an external amplifier if
desired by using additional Y-Cables similar to what is done for the
subwoofer preout.
 |
The picture below
demonstrates the same type of stabilization as above, but utilizes R103s
instead for all preouts. |

Note:
you can still use the preamp outputs to connect to an external amplifier if
desired. Otherwise, leave the stabilizer jack unused. Tape off the unused RCA
jacks so they don't short to anything.
If you do not have enough stabilizers for all preamp outputs, we recommend
you first stabilize them in the following order:
1. Front Left and Right Channels
2. Center Channel
3. Subwoofer
4. Side Surround Channels
5. Back Surround Channels
In the two following example
pictures, an Fm203 stabilizer is connected to a portable music player. The
headphone itself plugs into the jack on the Fm203.
