1. Home Theater
5.1 / 6.1 / 7.1 Receiver with Multichannel Preamp Outputs.
If
you prefer, you may instead use a discrete setup
(Preamp/Processor + Separate
Power Amplifier).
- Attach (1) HA203/HA103 for
(up to 6) Speaker Outputs of the Receiver.
- Attach (1) HR203/HR103 for
(up to 6) RCA Preamp Outputs of the Receiver.
2. DVD Player with Digital
Outputs.
- Connect the DVD player to the
receiver using a Digital connection.
- If you use the Multichannel
Analog RCA Outputs of a DVD Audio or SACD Player, Attach (1) HR203/HR103
for (up to 6) of its RCA Outputs.
3. Powered Subwoofer.
- Install
(1) A203/A103 to the amplifier inside the Powered
Subwoofer.
Note: this step may require you to
disassemble part of the subwoofer to access its internal amplifier connections. A qualified
person may be necessary.
4. A good set of speakers. With
feedback stabilizers improving the sound quality of your audio
electronics, speakers become the weak link in the system. We
recommend getting the best speakers within your budget.
5.
Plain RCA cables and Speaker wires (nothing fancy).
- 20 Feet of 14 or 16 Gauge
parallel wire (zip cord) for each speaker. Just use regular
plain/generic wire available at any hardware store
-
Regular, plain/generic RCA cables single or double shielded
Instead of the HA203/HA103/HR203/HR103, you
may use the
equivalent number of 2 or 4 channel stabilizers if necessary. If
so, add stabilizers in the following order of priority:
- Front Left
- Front Right
- Center
- Subwoofer
- Surround Left
- Surround Right
- Remaining Channels of 6.1/7.1 Systems
