1. Low cost
mass-market consumer Receiver that has both Digital Inputs and
PREOUT jacks.
- Attach (1) A203/A103
to the Left/Right Speaker Outputs of the Receiver
- Attach (1) R203/R103 to
the Left/Right RCA Preamp Outputs of the Receiver (to stabilize
its internal Preamp's output stage).
Note: It is OK for the R203/R103 to
just hang off the back of the receiver with no other cables
connected to it.
2. Low cost Audio Player that
has Digital Outputs (for example, a mass-market consumer DVD/CD
player).
- Connect the DVD/CD player to the
receiver using a Digital connection.
3. A good set of speakers. With
feedback stabilizers improving the sound quality of your audio
electronics, speakers become the weak link in the system. We
recommend getting the best speakers within your budget.
4.
Plain RCA cables and Speaker wires (nothing fancy).
- 20 Feet of 16 or 18 Gauge
parallel wire (zip cord) for each speaker. Just use regular
plain/generic wire available at any hardware store
-
Regular, plain/generic RCA cables single or double shielded
For a step even higher in sound
quality, use MR253 over R203 and MA253 over A203. Also, applying our DIY
tweaks offers substantial improvement as well.
