TheCritics.org
Review, May 2005
"Indeed, the aural
clarity that the two DakiOm devices instilled into the
mass-market devices almost made a case for their overall use
as serious music systems! ... dramatic improvements in bass,
bringing a fuller, more resonant sound .... Vocals and
instrumental classical music also produced richer, fuller
sound, clearing the trebles in the vocals as well."
-
Jason Van Bergen, Founder and President, TheCritics.org

"The bass was noticeably tighter and the sound stage took on a new presence."
"The difference between the A103 installed and without is far from subtle."
"The A103 made listening to older, overplayed CD’s fun again!"

This is my 5th unit from Dakiom so I am not surprised with the sound improvement it generates. I have made a habit of adding Dakiom to each new audio component I purchase. In doing so I feel I can get by with lower cost equipment and still get very satisfactory sound. The FM 203 is connected to the headphone output of a Apple Dual G5 2.5. The headphone is a brand new Sennheiser HD 555. The sound without Dakiom in the chain is acceptable. With it in it the sound becomes more relaxed and open. Most noticeable is the smooth and pure top end which made the listening so much enjoyable and non-fatiguing. After owning system that costed over 50K that became fatiguing after 1 hour of listening, this is what I care the most now about owning any piece of audio. Thank you Dakiom. |

Headphone Amp: HeadRoom Little
Headphones: Grado SR225
I first want to say that I am very skeptical about so-called “high-end” audio tweaks. I can’t think of a larger legal profit margin than that of audiophile tweaks.
Upon using the Dakiom F 203 over a week long evaluation, I must say that I am impressed. Don’t get me wrong, when I first plugged it in, the difference in sound quality is far less than a new amp or headphones. However, and this is a big however, the little Dakiom F 203 grows on you, and during my A/B/A comparison I wrote in my listening notes the following:
1. Less harsh highs
2. Greater and more focused decay
3. A veil is lifted - more detail
4. Less background noise
These are just cold analytical terms used when one really listens for specific improvements. The biggest and most obvious improvement is that music is simply more involving and enjoyable. I find myself longing to hear the next song on whatever album is spinning in my CD player at the time. I am sucked in. Yes, I have been asked to write this review as I receive a 40% discount on the F 203, but now that I’ve lived with the F203, I won’t go back. |

Now that I've had a chance to 'bed in' your QR203 I'd like to tell you a fable.
Once upon a time there was a young man who happened upon a love of Classical Music, and with his simple Pioneer Vinyl record deck...and...lived blissfully happy....One day strangers from the Digital kingdom came offering 'perfect sound forever', with their shrunken little discs....Of course we know such things can never come true in this fallen world.
Naturally the man tried all the remedies: outboard DACs, expensive interconnects, stabilising platters, digital interface processors, digital antidotes; then turned to the dark arts of electronics itself, to occult components: Black Gate, Os-Con, Holco; their very names seeming to guarantee magical success. The poor man even tried to build his own monster...called the TDA1541 DAC chip with its two mystical Crowns.
Then one day, defeated, in late middle age, he stumbled into a clearing in the World Wide Web; and found there a modest little sprite called Dakiom... with little hope...he...summoned this sprite home.
And behold! a ghost came back to life of that musical love long since past. It was full and right shaped of body, delicate in touch, hesitant, sweet and clear - the love of old!
Hermione lives! Perdita is found after all these years! (A Winter's Tale). Kim, stepping out of this rather stilted rambling, I'd just like to say thank you. Providence must have send you to answer my years of prayer. I cannot detail qualities of the music that your device accentuates or just boosts: it doesn't, it destroys something fundamental that had infected and cramped the sound. What is left is relaxed, weighty, easy, but full of emotion; like real things....

Having received my HA203 and HR203…hooked up to my Pioneer VSX 1015… all-Kef system (including a pair of vintage 104/2… and a 200C…). I already thought all that sounded pretty good… although I expected some improvement (because so much positive feedback can't be wrong) I was gobsmacked at the difference! Everything people say about more precise stereo imaging, finer detail, musicians in the room with you, etc. is TRUE!
Rather than repeat what everyone else says, I give some specific examples… a compilation CD of Emma Kirkby, the girl with the golden voice who specializes in Baroque and Ancient music…With the Dakioms on, you can clearly "see" (hear) where she each on each track! Sometimes right in front of you, other times somewhere out beyond the back wall. Distinctly further back. It's almost uncanny ...Another example was …Eileen Page ... This recording had always sounded somewhat harsh to me, and I had put that down to a mediocre recording... But your little black boxes made it sound sweet - and the instruments were perfectly positioned. That's when my mouth fell open in disbelief.
But…It s the emotion. The feedback stabilizers give the music a "tingle factor" it never had before! I love opera, and watching an opera DVD on my 2.8m wide screen with the upgraded sound picks you up and thrills you as much – or maybe even more - than if you were actually in the opera house!!! (Where you are probably too far from the stage and not so comfortably seated). The voices come alive!…

I am the owner of an old stereo system.... It consists of a Rega Planar 3 Turntable, Luxman R 3055 Receiver, Luxman K 8 Cassette deck, Revox B126 CD player, and B+W DM 14 Loudspeakers...Over the years I have tweaked my system with a filtered power bar, upgraded cables, and anti vibration sorbothane isolation feet. I thought my system sounded pretty good....And...In order to improve it I felt. I would have to buy new high-end equipment, which I was not willing to do. The prices are ridiculous! ...one day and I came across your website, "Dakiom". I read the reviews of past customers, and in all honesty it sounded to good to be true!...Being a skeptic I decided to purchase one stabilizer instead of two, the A203 for my receiver. I installed it and immediately noticed a subtle improvement in the sound... Each time it got better, reaching its peak after about six to seven hours of use. Being a piano player for a number of years, I trust my ears!...I invited my Dad over...we were sitting outside of the speakers in less than ideal listening conditions!...My Dad asked me if I had done anything to my Stereo. I did something I normally never do. I lied to him and told him I had done nothing to it! I asked him why he was asking, and he told me that my stereo sounded clearer than before....I did tell him two days later, and he was not upset. Any way I purchased a second stabilizer the QR203 for my CD player and cassette deck. Again like the first time, initially the difference was subtle, but after about six hours of use the difference was dramatic....The music sounds more real, like instruments not electronic sound....It's nice to come across a product that actually does what it claims....

We reckon the DakiOm R103
feedback stabilizer must be one of the great audiophile
bargains. Installed in a wonderfully musical system we know well
the DakiOm makes itself immediately effective. The volume level
steps up and detail resolution is significantly better but
without detriment to the familiar, relaxing musicality. Best of
all there is no character change in reproduction and the R103
just lets the electronics do their job optimally. It may look
incongruous to have little black boxes attached to your hi-fi
but this one is highly recommended to listeners whatever their
budget. Keith at Angelsound audio,
kind regards

SUMMARY POINTS:
1) I am NOT affiliated with this company in any way; they
wouldn't even give me their phone number! (They also sign their
emails, "Dakiom".) I would sign an affadavit on this.
2) The outlandish sounding claims they (DAKIOM) make
are--surprisingly--really true. They do not sound like credible
claims and I was VERY skeptical, but yes, they are largely, if
not completely, true, in my opinion.
3) Sonically:
- Smoother AND more detailed high end (yes, BOTH)
- Lower AND less boomy bass (yes, BOTH), even quicker and more
accurate than the already outstanding Rel had to begin with -
Better central imaging (already was good)
- Yes, they really DO cause less listening "fatigue".
4) RECOMMENDATION: BUY THESE PERIOD. THEN: Compare with and
w/out. If you dislike, or are neutral, return them.
5) To Reiterate: I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO FINANCIAL, PERSONAL, OR
OTHER INTEREST IN THIS COMPANY. I HAD TO AGREE TO WRITE A 100+
WORD REVIEW AS A PURCHASE PRECONDITION FOR THEIR
"INTRODUCTORY OFFER". DOUBTED THEY WOULD WORK AS
CLAIMED. I WAS WRONG. I AM NOT OFTEN WRONG!!!
... Epilogue: Now I BELIEVE these mysterious people, whoever
they are, and will NOT be returning these--ever.

... my system now sounds better
than I thought it could without upgrading to a multi-thousand-dollar
amp. What has improved? In a word, realism. Everything just sounds more
real. Vocals, guitar, bass, percussion instruments, everything. The
final test came when I removed the Dakiom stabilizers... the sound was
dull and lifeless. When I put them back in again, there was the magic.
No doubt about it, these are an essential part of my system from now on
and they get my highest recommendation.

Initial Review of
A103/R103:
... The first impression was that the highs are now clearer, especially when cymbals are present in the music. The images are somewhat more solidified, with greater weight and
density... I am pleasantly surprised by this as I did not think these aspects were lacking before...
I honestly never expected to hear improvement; difference perhaps but not improvement. I define improvement as achieving greater satisfaction and pleasure derived from listening to music. The R103 did improve upon the system's ability to reproduce music, bringing a greater sense of delineation, space, ease and airiness to the overall musical` reproduction. I was smiling after every piece of music played...
and that the net effect of having the two modules working together is actually cumulative. However, there is one particular aspect that stood out when the A103 was introduced, and that is bass weight and density... Over time, I came to appreciate the changes made to the sound... Time is the best modulator for any enthusiasm. It was the same experience I have had with the TDS Enhancer. Now, when I choose to remove the modules from the system, it took on a flatter overall presentation with lacklustre bass weight...
Dakiom did state that the modules will have different impact / effect on different system... Even if the main audio components are the same, perhaps the wiring and whatever tweaks used are different, not to mention personal taste in music and sonic reproduction... Musically, I do not have any strong preference except perhaps I do avoid heavy metal (have yet to appreciate and understand it). Nonetheless, the musical paces I put the Dakiom modules through via my system revealed that their net effect is consistent, cumulative and definitely cherished...

... With the 2nd

is greater clarity in the overall presentation, with no
degradation to important factors (to me) like musicality,
midrange richness, PRAT and solid imaging and soundstaging...
with the 2nd generation modules in place, there is a distinct

I had originally planned to purchase the Model Fm203 and installed it on my computer's sound card outputs with cables running to my stereo. I feel this setup is where feedback stabilzers will sound their best. The effect of Fm203 is more pronounced when played through loudspeakers rather than headphones, in my opinion. I did, however, manage to sample some music through two pairs of Sennheiser headphones and found the upgrade to be equally impressive....
Rather than a standard review I would like to share some thoughts about how I think the feedback stabilizers might work for you, and possibly clear up some misconceptions about them. First of all, when you install these stabilizers into your system nothing is actually added to the music, and yet our perception is that…more bass, midrange, treble, energy, etc. … arrive at your speakers.…. it must be noted that the Dakiom feedback stabilizers are not signal processors, so to speak. One of the functions of the stabilizer is to restore what is lost by fine tuning certain elements of the signal, such as phase and amplitude, mainly by adding small amounts of feedback….extracting more signal where much detail would otherwise be lost, but also, more importantly, it will rejuvenate a degraded signal, which to our ears will sound harsh and glaring (due to a loss of information)….A common praise we hear about the Dakiom feedback stabilizer is that the system sounds more laidback or that the harshness has virtually been eliminated. This may be true, but not because the stabilizers have attenuated the higher frequencies. I believe it’s because these frequencies are no longer compressed (to radiate in a single direction) and have become appropriately dispersed across the soundstage…These are just a few of the many characteristics I have noticed from my system since installing Dakiom's feedback stabilizers. If you have a decent playback system and an excellent pair of speakers I'm sure you will notice them as well.

… I was… given permission to audition/review DakiOm’s experimental feedback stabilizer, the “Exp.F203,” for headphone/head amplifier applications. Given my very positive listening experience with just a single one of Dr. Dao’s 2-channel R203 stabilizers on my rather modest A/V system at home, I leapt at the opportunity to hear what DakiOm(s) could do for my headphone system at work ….In Brief:
The short version of this review is simply that the DakiOm feedback stabilizers work exceptionally well. Their performance is consistent, uniform, additive, affordable and preeminently musical. There was not a single application in which the DakiOm failed to satisfy—no, better yet, delight. They are versatile accessories that soon become staple necessities on the audio train.…Please understand that music has become essential to my sanity and survival at the office, combating the frequent tedium and frustration that goes with programming and debugging computer programs all day. Music provides a soothing, long-term backdrop to practically all my programming tasks, as well as the occasional short-term excursion into critical (and
unabashedly escapist) listening. To begin, I tried the DakiOms one-at-a-time … Exp.F203…R203… HR203 …

POSTSCRIPT April 05,2006
The new-to-market F203’s sound even more musical, liquidy, open and transparent than the test versions I auditioned last year. With DakiOms in place, be assured that you, the listener, leave few, if any, essential audiophile “stones” unturned.
DakiOm continues to deliver readily discernable, across-the-board improvement and musicality in the latest version of my dedicated headphone system, consisting of: …

Hi Kim, I received your 2 channel stabilizer today - thank you. My review follows (make edits if necessary): I received your 2-channel headphone stabilizer today. I must say that I was a bit skeptical prior to using it with my Sony portable CD player and Grado Headphones. I am used to listening to my main system of stacked Quads with Decca tweeters and Futterman amps. Without going into all that Golden Ear details hooplah, I must say that listening to my reference cd recordings became more cohesive, and immediately more rounded, as compared to the cardboard flatness I usually hear with this headphone cd combo. The stage opened up and the music just sounded more like music:) I did not hear a deeper bass improvement, nor a louder presentation. Just a great more involved musicality. Thank you, B. R. |

I am stunned with the change in Sound after installing the Feedback Stabilizers in all points in my Audio Chain. Although, I have a fairly hi-end system, I did not realize that this meager investment will make such an improvement. The midrange has bloomed, the high frequency is smooth as a velvet, the bass is controlled and tight (I was earlier wondering how to control due to poor acoustic of my room)a and top of it the imaging is superb both vertical and lateral. The transients have also improved dramatically. …To sum up, I am extremely happy and satisfied with your product. Thanx for the deadly creation at such a reasonable price!!

…Dakiom has a 30 day money back guarantee that seemed pretty iron clad, so I decided to give them a try, … with my Marantz CC4300 CD changer.
R203 on Marantz CDP
…As a general rule of thumb I do not like having to strain to hear differences …I have to be absolutely convinced that the new device makes a noticeable difference ... That said, I remember that it took me about half an hour to figure out what the Dakiom R203 was doing to the sound from my Marantz … instruments and voices became more real, almost visceral and exciting … piano, in particular, became more natural and true to timbre. …The shimmer from cymbals became more apparent. There was absolutely no drop in dynamics, … making the bass sound more natural and less boomy. ...Busy music with a lots of percussion, cymbals, brushes and maraccas that used to sound blurry sounded more focused and separate. … I was hearing details I never heard before. …All the same, my system sounds closer to the truth with the Dakiom. Not to be left out is the Dakiom's ability to removes listener fatigue. I could relax and listen to mustic for long periods of time without being fatigued.
…With the R203 removed, the realism and excitement diminished and white background noise became more noticeable. Just a few minutes of playing my system without the Dakiom was enough to convince me about the effectiveness of the product. …With the Dakiom reinstalled the notes began to just flow….
R203 on Tube Audio Design TAD-150 Preamp
When I tried the R203 on my TAD-150 preamp outputs, … it did require me to put some effort a to hear differences - contravening my general principle not to have to do so. So in the end I removed the R203 from the preamp and reinstalled it on my Marantz CDP, where it had the biggest positive impact.
A203 on Cayin TA-30 amp
…After installing the A203 on the outputs of my Cayin amp …, I pretty much heard all the improvements noted above with the R203, but the improvements were further magnified. …In terms of incremental improvement, the A203 made a much more dramatic improvement than the R203, and it required no special effort to feel the change. ..There was a break in time 10 - 15 hours after which the soundstage opened up further and top end become even more clear and "bell shaped" smooth.
Then for the acid test, I took out device from my amp and listened. There was an immediate constriction of the soundstage and drop in realism! It took me no more than three minutes to decide that the A203 needed to be back on my amp!!
Conclusions
I am absolutely convinced of the value of the Dakiom on my setup. …took my system to new level in enjoyment and emotional connection to the music. The impact is exciting and visceral and got me closer to the truth. They allow you to hear the essence of the music …I definitely cannot remove the Dakioms. They are like missing pieces of a puzzle in my system.

Player used: Apple Ipod Video 60g with Apple Lossless files
Headphone used: Wetone UM2 canal phones
I bought this more out of curiosity than anything else and as the price was very low.
I thought: "what the heck! I'll give it a try!". I must say that more or less it
does what it claims: slightly tighter bass, slightly clearer imaging, slightly more
natural vocals, slightly smoother highs... in two words: slightly better. So really
it is up to you to decide whether it is worth it. I think there are better things
to buy first with 99 bugs: better headphones being the first, or a better player.
But if you already have a top of the range portable set up, then this won't break
the bank and it might add a bit to your sound. |

… I decided to try one device (A203) …I had a Pioneer(cheap) …this amp sounded so bad I was barely able to listen to it for more than 15mins at a time. However when I put the amp stabilizers (A203) on, the sound quality dramatically increased and was actually musical. Then I tried the amp stabilizers on my Carver amp. The effect was noticeable but it did not make a dramatic change … However I was looking at the web site again…and noticed that some people said the biggest change happened when all the interconnects(R203) were done …I wasn't disappointed in fact I am absolutely amazed at how good the sound is when all the interconnects (CD and preamp) have been stabilized. The clarity of the sound increased …But the biggest difference I noticed was in the soundstage. The Carver pre-amp already provides excellent soundstage with it's holographic sound but with the stabilizers on this was increased another notch. To me the only way to describe it is like putting on "audio glasses" for the first time. …Now it seems like the individual sounds come from distinct locations with total silence in the areas between. Amazing!
…I decided to add the final stabilizer to my system the Fm203…I think the greatest improvement comes from the soundstage size; but with headphones, the soundstage size is limited to the distance between the ears. So although I didn't notice much difference in sound with the Fm203 when used with headphones … I did notice a big difference when used to hook up the iPod for external playback (through my stereo).
Honestly these devices to me represent one of the biggest advancements in musical enjoyment for the money that I have made …I personally love listening to music and these devices have made listening all the more enjoyable. Thanks.

THIS IS MY SECOND REVIEW: After
being very impressed with the home theater package HR/HA-103,
making a detailed review, I quickly re-ordered a two way stereo
package R-103 and A-103… Tweaking a system is my FORTE' I did
a variety of tests…. WITHOUT THE DAKIOM'S and all processors
BYPASSED, the system SOUNDED plain and clear due to the MAGNEPAN
.5 and CARVER system. With the DAKIOM'S installed, like my
previous review, the SPEAKERS CAME TO LIFE, and THE CARVER
AMPS/PREAMPS really comes to life, as great the circuitry in ALL
CARVER EQUIPMENT, the DAKIOM'S enhances them to THEIR FULL
POTENTIAL. Now I ENGAGED all the processors, one by one...the
DAKIOM'S in each processor IMPROVES and WIDEN'S the AUDIO
SPECTRUM on each processor. ... Like I mentioned before,
whatever the DAKIOM stabilizer TOUCHES, it adds FLAVOR and
IMPROVEMENT beyond what your EARS CAN "LIVE WITHOUT!"
The better your system, the more MUSIC and LIVELINESS it brings
out… FOLKS! This is an AMAZING PRODUCT and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
You are wasting money, by not INVESTING on a SIMPLE yet very
EFFECTIVE device that is MULTI-PURPOSE for HOME, CAR, RV, BOAT
whatever!

"AT THE BEGINNING
WAS CHAOS AND THEN GUYS AT DAKIOM CREATED FEEDBACK
STABILIZERS"
... I decide to attach
HA-103 AUDIO STABILIZER first. My first movie X-MAN 2, i must
have seen that movie dozen times but what i heard was totally
new soundtrack. The opening scene in the white house blew me
away. The effect of that scene were reproduced with such detail
and dynamic that got me off guard. There was so much more to bum
and bang , specially bass area become clear and define Finlay
bass get rid of the mud. Next movie was Lord of the Ring
fellowship... Amount of detail in quiet passages of the movie
was incredible for the first time i was hearing wind, leafs
rustle , and even rain got a new life. On the next day i was so
excited to attach HR-103 but i could not imagine how it could
make things even better.... First movie on the menu MATRIX
RELOADED. Oh boy i was not prepared it seams that more
STABILIZERS MORE IMPROVEMENT. HR-103 bring new meaning to a word
SURROUND for the very first time i was sitting totally immerse
in 360 degree sound field, suddenly sound was coming from all
speakers ( 7.1) with equal power and clarity. Something else
happened also sound become transparent as well as very well
balanced.... To decide if that changes ware true i disconnect
STABILIZERS for two days and watch the same movies for point of
reference. Well doing so i would recommend clear the path in
front of equipment because you will run, yes run to put them
back.... STABILIZERS ARE STAYING IN MY SYSTEM FOR GOOD, CHANGES
ARE TOO BIG TO LIVE WITHOUT THEM. OF COURSE CHANGES MIGHT BE
DEPENDABLE ON MANY THINGS BUT THERE IS ALWAYS GREAT SUPPORT LINE
THAT DAKIOM PROVIDE. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK GUYS AT TECH SUPPORT
FOR ALL HELP AND ADVICES CONCERNING ATTACHMENT OF STABILIZERS.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR INVENTING SUCH AN INCREDIBLE PRODUCT.

...Noticed a wonderful
difference in my audio system right away after installing the
Dakiom Audio Stabilizers, there is no doubt this product can and
will improve you're system. The stabilizers seem to smooth out
the rough edges of the music, i now listen to c.d.'s that were
barely audible before because of high pitch noise and other
unwanted sounds.... the Dakiom Audio Feedback system is the best
deal, no doubt about it. The mid-range improvement was
significant and the high frequency range was smooth with a nice
pop sound to the bass with a more suitable and distinct sound. I
would also like to say that my headphones (Sony RF915 series)
sound much better, they came to life, the music was more suttle
with a nice punch to them. I highly recommend the Dakiom audio
system to anyone out there who enjoys music like i do.

I have been using ...
A103+ and ... R103 for a full month now, so I am to be sure and
write an accurate review of the products. One note, first off,
is that they do sound better after a short break-in period. My
first impression ... was very good, but I had an impression of a
little lost clarity in the treble- less "attack."
After listening to these more and more, and especially after
taking them out for awhile, I realized that the only thing that
was gone was the feedback distortion. I was mistaking the
harshness for loudness perhaps, my system definitely sounds more
musical now. It is amazing to find out how bad your amps
actually sound when you find out what these little things can
do- taking them out after listening with them in for awhile
makes music- especially "busier" music like rock-
sound like it is coming out of a cave.... I always felt like
there was something wrong, something confused between the
"music" and the "audio" that was
interpreted.... but the stabilizers remedy nearly ALL
"LISTENER FATIGUE".... this seriously and truly is a
breakthrough for the audio world, and I would recommend for
anyone that loves music to give these a try. Even the "eliteist"
audiophiles with megabuck systems- your amps have some of the
basic circuit designs in common also. I would classify the
stabilizers not as an add on, tweak, or refinement, but as the
missing stage of an amplifier. Someone has finally found out how
to solve the problems that arrise from the use of negative
feeback, without taking away the benefits. And to do so
passively. That is awesome.

... I have never come
across so many reviews on one product-Dakiom feedback
stabilizer, especially all are favorable reviews. As I read
through them one by one, I wondered whether they are true
stories and I hoped that I would get the same feeling and the
kind of described effect on my system.... To my surprise, I am
happy that the reviews are so true, with the stabilizers on, the
sound is very pleasant to the ears, which is smooth, airy,
musical and detail, even the volume is turned down a bit lower
than usual, the music is still clear and outstanding. I can now
settle down and be relax to enjoy listening to music instead of
thinking about other tweaks to improve my system. I will tell my
friends about this valuable product. Best Wishes!

... Like many
reviewers, I was astonished by the improvement these products
made in my system.... The Jazz albums that I have grown to love
immediately took on a new, more lifelike, quality. Simply put,
they sounded more "musical." ...In each case I found
myself more deeply involved with the music than I could ever
remember being. I suffered the dilemma of every audiophile who
discovers a hot new product. The music sounded so good I wanted
to keep listening; at the same time, I wanted to hear what the
product could do for so much other music I have in my
collection. I don't pretend to know how these stabilizers work,
but I am convinced they do. The most notable immediate
improvement was in the bass, which was tighter and more focused.
After listening to some of my favorite (and familiar) classical
cds, I noticed a similar improvement throughout the critical
midrange. Individual instruments were better defined and the
sound stage was deep and well layered... But to my mind the main
improvement was not in the details but in the overall
presentation. Rhythms seemed to flow more naturally and the
music seemed more like a live performance. Isn't that what audio
reproduction is all about? ...The effects of adding stabilizers
along the chain are cumulative... In terms of price vs.
performance I can't think of a better product, and I now
consider the Dakiom stabilizers an integral part of my system.
With the money-back guarantee you really can't go wrong. If you
love music, you owe it to yourself to try this product.

Components used:
1) Slim Devices Squeezebox networked audio player
2) NAD C 320BEE integrated amplifier
3) Paradigm Reference Studio 20 v.2 speakers
I was very pleased with the sound quality I was getting from my
sound system, so while I had high hopes for the Dakiom products,
my expectations were fairly low. Consequently, when I installed
the feedback stabilizers and couldn't really tell much
difference, it came as no big surprise. I noticed that the bass
seemed slightly more pronounced and articulate, not big and
boomy, but a bit tighter and more defined. However, I chalked
this up to the placebo effect. Wanting to give the stabilizers a
fair trial, I left them in for a few weeks. At the end of this
time, I decided I should make a decision, so I did a 45-minute
listening session with all types of music. Then I removed the
stabilizers and begin to listen to the exact same music again. I
only listened for about five minutes before I decided that I
wanted to put the stabilizers back in. Without them, the music
seemed harsh, especially high frequencies and vocals (sibilance,
etc.). Also, I decided that the change in bass I had noticed
before was very real. This is an excellent product, especially
at the introductory prices. Had it not been for the low price
and the money-back guarantee, I would never have tried them,
which would have meant doing myself a great disservice. |

...I am Augusto Sampaio, a pediatrician and music lover living in Brazil...
started around 1970. At that time, I already had a dedicated room for listening recorded classical music. Fifteen years later, I built another music room, so important for me as my new house and bought my first CD
player... I was secure that my happiness would be forever. Not yet. Soon, I discovered some new bad companions such as jittering, not very wide soundstages or worse, flat ones, and a much easier hearing fatigue...
It was time to move again. In my third and smallest listening place, already in the 24/96 new
era... I could feel I was closer to my missed LPs sound, but still it was not enough...
The chain for creating an analogical curve was almost complete when I read in one of the last issues of Bound For Sound some commentaries by Mr. DeWulf about the Dakiom feedback stabilizers A 103 and R 103. I ordered both. It is amazing how there is always a space for more improvements in the audio art... Don't ask me how technically those little passive boxes work. I am only a veteran sufferer audiophile with a pair of reasonably trained ears, not an electronic specialist. What I know is: the results have been the closest to everything I as looking for...
Now, more than ever, I spend my free time listening to music analogically relaxant...
I think that any serious audiophile deserves a trial with these little, but essential, Dakiom stabilizers.

...I already have a very tweaked out system; $25K of components and
speakers... With Dakiom stabilizers, I was surprised at how the music popped out at me. The sound became more like a live performance with a much larger soundstage and presence. More three-dimensional, smoother, and much more analog-like without losing definition, clarity or transients. The harshness was gone that I didn't even know that I had. Smooth as silk. The bass is tighter, clearer, and more distinct, and more of it. I caught myself enjoying music more than listening to the
sound...

I was skeptical of this product based upon the wild claims made
in the advertisements. But, after reading some of the reviews,
in a moment of weakness I decided to give them a try. I figured
that I would try them for a week and then send these things back
and easily dismiss these little black boxes as snalke oil and
move on. My first impression was that they made the system sound
different. I didn't necessarily think it was better - just
different. I could only listen for a song or two - then I had an
errand to run, but I pretty well decided in the car that the
things were going back. Later that evening my wife and I sat
down to listen to some music after dinner, and halfway through
the first song she commented on how clear the vocals were - she
had no idea I had done any tweaking. By the end of the listening
session I had turned from skeptical to absolutely delighted. The
soundstage deepened, instruments were more distinct and clear -
even pitch and rhythm were improved. I have had them for a
couple weeks now, and I notice myself digging deep into my old
CD and LP collection and enjoying music that I have not listened
to in years - it all sounds so fresh and new. These have given
me great enjoyment, and I highly recommend them. |

I purchased the Home Theater Base Package & extra HR 103 feedback stabilizers for my home theater system consisting of
an Harmon Kardon AVR-85 reciever, Paradigm Monitor 7 front, CC-350 center and Mini Monitor rear speakers. I first installed the HR103 stabilizers to the
pre-amp out of my Harmon Kardon AVR85 Receiver and tested that alone. There was an immediate improvement as I could hear cleaner sound and more openness. My Wife thought she could hear a difference (She's been my ultimate resource for years of trying new tweaks) (If she can hear it there is a major improvement). I next installed the HA103 Amplifier stabilizer to my speaker outputs to my speaker system. On listening to a wide array of music, I was amazed at the way instruments just seemed to pop out of the air with a transparency and openness I had never experienced with this setup before. My wife was also impressed in a way I had never seen before with all my years of modifying amplifiers, building speakers, experimenting with sound deadener products, etc.
This 'STUFF' works!!! |

... As a former
musician, I was dubious as to how much of a difference the
stabilizers would make, especially on my novice audiophile
system... Well, the answer is a big difference. After doing
blinded tests, I always come to the same conclusion. The music
just sounds better. After putting the stabilizers on, the music
is more lifelike, and more beautiful than before. Now I find
myself more involved in the music, and just plain grinning more.
Thanks for a great product at a more than fair price.

pleased with the sound quality I was getting from my sound
system, but I am in a constant "state of tweaking"....
Going back from the stabilized state to the non-stabilized state
really made a big difference and I could not bear the harshness
of the sound without the stabilizers. This is really an addition
to my system, and as stated on the web site , try the dakiom
stabilizers first and you will feel no need anymore to spend
hundreds of dollars on expensive cables.

...Upon installing the dakioms.... I installed all 3 components at once - immediately the sound opened up - the mid-range was clearly much more defined. Raspiness from voices virtually almost disappeared.... Then I pulled out the 2 stabilizers on the inputs...and just left in the speaker stabilizers and yes there was a distinct difference... clarity was gone.... muddleness emerged. We both agreed; so Installed the 6 channel and left the 2 channel out. The sound immediately cleaned up and openness once again emerged. Lastly I reinstalled the 2-channel stabilizer back to the dac (originally $2100.00 for the dac). And yes once again another subtle difference emerged in smoothness and more clarity.... I now am very happy with this system - a long time in the making but lacking nothing. Total hollow imagery with instruments clearly placed around the room - a warmth and smoothness that is present at very high volumes. A total lack of harshness. Voices are clearly focused with lips smacking on P syllables and glasses clinking in the background that was never heard before; also in quiet spots a total lack of sound like a black hole. You can talk at very high volumes with no ear fatigue.... A total pleasure to listen too.... This is a must have product that really works.... Congratulations Dakiom... Thanks...

... As I have listened
in the days following, I find that I would have to
wholeheartedly agree with the claims made for these products.
Bass is indeed deep, tight, and tuneful, but without any sense
of bloating. The soundstage is open and airy, and is both wider
and deeper than it was previously. Imaging is excellent, with
instruments precisely placed in the presentation. What stands
out for me, however, is the more realistic sizing of the
instruments. Acoustic bass sounds like it's coming from
something the physical size of the real thing! Everything has
excellent tonality. Complex music is more easily resolved......
clearer. The music is alive and in my room! Since my Unico has
the built-in phono stage, I also get the benefit of the A103
when playing vinyl. The more I listen....the more I hear the
benefits! I'd recommend these products to anyone looking to
improve the sound of their system for a very modest investment.

I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO ORDER
MORE FROM YOUR COMPANY. YOUR PRODUCTS ARE EXCELLENT. YOU WON'T BELIEVE
WHAT IT DOES TO ALREAY "TWEAKED" SYSTEM TO THE MAX. THE BETTER
ONE'S SYSTEM IS, THE MORE THIS STABILIZER ENHANCES THE SOUND. THE MORE
STABILIZERS YOU UTILIZE, THE MORE IT MAGNIFIES! AMAZING, CONSIDERING I
HAVE MANY SOUND ENHANCING PROCESSORS. THESE STABILIZERS NOT ONLY
ENHANCES HIGH END SPEAKERS, BUT IT ENHANCES OLD AND NEW SOUND
ENHANCERS.... I would highly recommend your product to any serious
entry-level to audiophiles. Note this to your customers: The more you
apply the stabilizers to every component source, the more it enhances
every piece of equipment. It cuts the distortion of amplified source and
brings out most, if not all the lost signals from a recording, digitized
or compressed analog.... In fact, THE DAXIOM stabilizers adds LIFELIKE
clarity to cymbals, strings etc...without the brightness that can be
caused by OVER EXPANSION AND RESTORATION from the DBX 3BX III OR the
much more improved and DIGITAL FRIENDLY DS VERSION.... This comes to the
pinnacle of the subject which is the INVENTION OF YOUR PRODUCT...DAXIOM
STABILIZERS. What some audio enthusiast and audiophiles don't realize,
at least the critics which are few, is that products like yours are
really REVOLUTIONARY to the audio industry. It doesn't COMPETE AND
NEGATIVELY EFFECTS the manufacuterer of sound processors or other
related manufacturers. Because of it's UNIQUENESS, it actually AIDS and
ENHANCES past and CURRENT products of SOUND PROCESSING EQUIPMENT.... In
my opinion being backed up by previous audiophiles who have made great
reviews on your products, SHOULD BE STANDARD IN ANY HI-FI AND HI-END
SYSTEMS. Any installer of high end equipment being 2-way stereo to home
theater is doing an INJUSTICE not utilizing, recommending and purchasing
your stabilizers for their customers! Thank you for reading!
"I WOULD
RELATE YOUR STABILIZERS TO H20 OR WATER TO ANY AUDIO AND

them up,... Gee this sounds awfully good, a bit wiry at first
but gone after an hour of listening. Szeryng’s initial
arpeggio in that second movement is so telling. The high notes
so clean, so extended, so lovely. Faster passages had no
smearing, not less smearing but no
smearing.... the R103 was removed to hear the difference.
Forget that! Everything collapsed. The sound was flat, dull and
uninteresting. Quick reinstall the R103! Can’t listen without
it! The next day I reconnected the A103 properly.... Instruments
had even better placement, the sound stage, everything now
emminentely more listenable. The deal is you are drawn deeper
into the music, music is more tactile, emotion richer.

...I ordered the Home Theater Base Package for my system. After five minutes of installation time, I popped in one of my favorite CD and my first impression of the sound was the details, wider soundstage, and tighter bass. It feels like the whole band was right in front of me...
dialog from the center speaker is more clear and detail. The bass of the front and rear channel is punchier. After couple of hours of listening to the music and a movie, I decided to take the stabilizer off. My first impression was that all the details, soundstage, and tighter bass disappeared. It sounded like I put a pillow over my speakers.
I didn't have to listen for a week to tell the difference. It was so obvious even after a short period of time...

... The improvement are
that you hear a deeper tighter bass...not boomy and less
distortion..........a much more three-dimensional
sound..........less harshness........I also heard more inner
detail in well-known recordings.........a broader and deeper
soundstage, with very precise placement of voices and
Instruments, both laterally and in depth..........The
improvements are Dramatic!.........My stereo system is now more
transparent.....the inner detail, transient clarity, depth of
image, texture, dynamics and life-size stage has to be
experience to be believed!!!.... There no need to see what the
difference is with the stabilizers out of my system, the
difference is Night and Day with the stabilizers in my stereo
system! Update....... I order another stabilizer (R103) for my
Satellite receiver and now my receiver does not sound Harsh or
Dull now....

... As we all know that
midrange is the body of a great soundstage, I added a speaker optimizer
which helped some, but not completely satisfied. Had to adjust or
compensate too much when listening to R&B. However classical and
jazz sounded descent. I just didn't have the dynamics and tightness of
musical instruments that most separates provide, so I decided to try
these Dakiom feedback stabilizers out, and "BOY" am I glad I
did. First of all, delivery was fast and well packaged.... I noticed a
difference in my sound immediately after installation of my stabilizers.
I installed the audio source and amplifier speaker output stabilizers in
my system and "WHALA". My receiver has high power and the
stabilizers made it sound as though I was using separate amp and preamp
configuration. The bass was even tighter than before. Mid and high
midrange became ever so smooth and clear with silky highs. Musical
instruments became a reality. Real and true. I don't have to adjust my
system no longer. All CDs I play regardless of genre sounds astonishing.
Thank you Dakiom. I recommend these stabilizers to anyone. Even the low
end music lover will appreciate this addition to their system. It will
make even non brand name equipment sound highend.

...These Dakiom stabilizers are
a wonderful edition to my system. Ultimately they bring tightness and
transparency of bass as well as a nice musicality. There are two things
that I am always striving to improve in my system. 1 - To minimize
digitalitis (the raggedness that can come from cd's) and 2 - Increase
transparency (remove the grunge between the singers and instruments).
These do both quite well. It most dramatically cleans up the bass and
smoothes out the highs. A caution: Doing an A/B test to check their
effectiveness doesn't always work. Some times the difference is obvious
at other times it seems there is little difference but over time I
believe you will be quite pleased with their charms....

...I recently purchased a Grado headphone amp to go with my Grado RS1 headphones. I also own a headroom cosmic with Sennheiser 650 headphones. Initially listening to the Grado combination I thought it was very good but in no way competitive with the
Sennheiser/headroom setup. I took Dakiom and connected it between my Toshiba DVD (which plays DVD audio) Grado headphone amp I must tell you the sound is astonishing. Greater separation of air between musicians greater bass definition and bloom, it gives the sennheiser setup a run for it's money! I put on Hugh Masekela's train song and was blown away...
Highly recommended.

... wow how much more music there was with even just an entry level TT and vintage separates. But I wondered if I could get more. Seemed something was missing, i.e.; soundstage and being able to hear separately the different voices or instruments. I thought monitors, better components etc, etc.
I decided instead to try a tweak. After much surfing I decided on the Dakiom Stabilizers. What a total improvement! Now I have a soundstage, I can hear everything, that seems to be in the grooves. Tight defined bass, clear as a bell highs...
In any event I have settled on this final descriptive analogy with the Dakiom Stabilizers I feel as if I am in the recording studio listening to the final master cut as the engineer and artist intended for it to sound!

I have added the Stabilizers to my system, using them on my EL-84 based push-pull stereo amplifier. Immediately I noticed more air around notes, a wider soundstage and the notes coming from a blacker background. The Stabilizers have been in my system for approximately 200 hours now, and have shown to be a better tweak then expensive interconnects, power cords or cone
coupler/decouplers. I will also be placing stabilizers on my CD player, but was waiting to do the additions one at a time, to more completely understand the change each set of Stabilizers was adding to my system.
Goodbye expensive interconnects and speaker cables.
Thanks, Dakiom!

The very first thing I noticed was the tightness of the sound by
system made after installing the R103 and A103's, especially in
the bass region. Excellent sound. The next impression was in the
imaging improvement in my system. The spacial sound of the
instruments was impressive. I could not only hear each
instrument, but I could also sense the space around each
instrument. It is a joy to listen to the music using the R103
and A103's. I have no idea how they work, and I do not even
care. All I care about is enjoying the music, which I do to
great extent. |

First of all I was not
looking to tweak or upgrade my current audio system. I was just
looking at Audiogon to check on what the going market was for
Def Tech loudspeakers.... until your ad for stabilizers that
is,... and decided to take a gamble and see if there could be a
slight improvement to my audio system.... Now my Monitor Audio's
come alive, better bass slam, improved midrange and nuances that
were not there before, highs are even clearer than previously
noted. The cymbals sound like they are in my listening room and
I am drumming with the band. The biggest test was when my wife
called to me from upstairs and said she thought the vocals by
Patricia Barber, Diana Krall, and Joni Mitchell were more
realistic and she had to run downstairs to see if I had
purchased a piano for our listening room! ... I am definitely
going to let my friends know about this product. Give this
product a try you will not be sorry. As for the return label in
the box, it is now somewhere in the bottom of the trash. These
are keepers. Happy listening!!

...I didn't think that I would
achieve any huge sound quality improvement without changing major
components in my system..... After I installed the Dakiom, the first
thing I noticed that the background was even quieter than before. The
music was smoother than before with fuller body and provided some
soundstaging improvements. The female vocal has more air, more balanced
and each note was clearer. With the tube CDP and preamp I have right
now, the sound was smooth and layback, but sometimes lacks some emotion.
After installing Dakiom, the music seems to be zoomed in a little. Now I
feel more involved in the music and feel more dynamics with each note
playing. I can spend longer time listening without feeling fatigued. As
an A/B comparison, I took Dakiom out of my system after one week to see
how my ears responded to the changes. I was amazed to find out that the
sound was kind of dull and a little harsh. After a few days, I was used
to my old sound again, but something was definitely missing. Overall,
the Daikom provided a significantly more enjoyable listening experience,
due primarily to reduced listening fatigue, and secondarily to better
detail, balance and soundstaging.

Here is the review on the dakiom stabilizers:
Thought I would give these a try because I like to tweak my
system which is a Krell showcase preamp Spectron amp and a Consonance Ref 2.2
with Reimer Wind River GS model which are truely awsome speakers.
Now to the stabilizers, they bring a more natural sound to
the music. My wife said it correctly when she said without them
it sounds more like a stereo system and with them they sound
more like a real performance or live music. I like these things
but the interconnects still make a big difference of course I
mean hooked up after the stabilizers. I will be keeping these in
my system and have already purchased more of them but still
looking for the perfect interconnect to hook to them. So but
these and still keep playing the game we all seem to play as
audiophiles. Have fun and listen. Rick Z from Iowa

Hi DakiOm, Upon
plugging-in, I did not notice that much of an improvement, with
the exception of more accurate bass and increased bass quantity.
However, after about a week's worth of continuous use, the
DakiOm blossomed into something that deserves to be at the top
of the value list. Music was much more involving and emotional,
and you don't even have to try hard to notice the difference. I
also noticed a significant improvement in dynamics. I've used
the HR103 on my receiver, and the difference is phenomenal in
favor of the DakiOm." "The DakiOm made me re-tweak my
Yamaha mixer, and re-adjust my speaker placement, and everything
sounds great...so good in fact, I now understand terms like
"open, airy, focused bass, harsh highs, sound stage,
transparency..." Thanks. |

...I then turned the music on. I wasn't that encouraged by what I initially heard. Something was missing...
Everything sounded better than the first session. I found my self on this second session just chilling for almost four hours of music. Just tapping my toes and sitting there in my recliner until I realized it was way past bed time.
On the third session, I found myself saying "WOW" several times. The music sounded even better than the second session. And since then everytime I've turned the music on, I've been impressed with some nuance or detail that I haven't heard before and by the fact that the "you are there" factor is getting better.
The following items are summaries of my listening experience with the Dakiom stabilizers installed: On Robinella and the CC
Stringband, the sound is incredible... You hear the sound of when the note on the guitar starts and you hear as the note is ending...
On Nicolas Payton and Doc Chilton.. Guess what? You are sitting at that nite club with those acoustics hitting every part of your wall. The recording was never that flat on my system, but this tweak made it so realistic, it was incredible...
On Patricia Barber's recording Modern Cool... These stabilizers let you feel the phrasing of her words and let you feel more of the expression on her piano playing. This technology these stabilizers have somehow or another makes your system sound more musical and life like. The expressions and the intentions of the musician are easier to hear. Even if you've listened to a recording several times, you'll be hearing details you hadn't heard before...

I wanted, on AudioGon, to change my speaker cables and D\A. I've
seen many times the DAKIOM STABILIZERS, but was not interested,
even in last week. I first ordered X-103 and put it in the DAC.
DAKIOM transformed the already good sound into better sound. The
voice is clearer, details for all instruments are enhanced. I
listen to all my CD’s and feel like listening to new CD’s.I
ordered one R-103 and put it in the cable converter and two
MA103, thus upgrading the analog sound from cable. The
improvement is amazing, more sound stage. The channel separation
is incredible. More transparent high-frequency, smooth and
natural mid-range, and much more solid bass. In all aspects it
is extraordinary performance. I change my mind about changing my
D|A and speaker cables. THANKS DAKIOM |

... I purchased 1 A103 and 3
R103s. The R103s were hooked to the outputs of the cd player, phono
preamp and passive preamp and the A103 connected to the speaker
terminals on the power amp. I thought the sound was pretty good without
the Dakiom Feedback stabilizers connected but the sound improved
noticeably in nearly all areas after they were attached. The clarity of
vocals and instruments improved. The background was indeed very quiet.
The soundstage became deeper and wider and I could definitely hear
increased detail on most music I played. The Dakioms seem to untangle
the mix presenting a better separation of sounds than previously and
very noticeable was the shimmer on cymbals etc. The sound appeared
smoother less strained and more free flowing. The music seems to hang in
space longer. This certainly gives a real live/lifelike feel to the
music. The improvements seemed to me to be greater with cd than analogue
source but the improvements are still very worthwhile for record
playing. Bass seemed nice and tight and air and space around the
instruments improved significantly. The entertainment factor has really
increased for me using these. I now feel a stronger desire to listen to
music.

I was quite skeptic with regard to what your Feedback stabilizers could do in a system like mine.
But curiosity was stronger so I decided to get a pair of Ma103 for the speakers, one R103 for the preamp and a R103 for the CD player. My friends let me tell you that my surprise was big!
High frequencies are now notoriously more defined and low frequencies are much easier to control. Instruments have achieved more detailed efficiency and voices greater character.
Thank to the development of this product now music fans have the way to improve their audio systems with little investment.

I put the
R103 at the output of the MSB DAC. I was amazed at the improvement in sound quality with this device. What the ads say and what Bound For Sound says about it are true. Everything tightened up--images were more solid by far. The bass, which was already pretty good I thought, became much clearer and distinct--pitches on the acoustic double-bass on various John Coltrane CD's were much easier to discern. A Columbia CD of a Bernstein performance of Beethoven's 6th from the 60's which had always sounded strident and diffuse to me, suddenly became focused and sweeter (not as sweet as live violins, but I don't know anything that does that). Distinct instruments panned from left to right between the speakers. I sat there thinking, all this for $100?
I connected the speaker level A103 to my living room system... Things got smoother, more distinct, less harsh. I would not have purchased the dakiom devices if I had not read about them in Bound for Sound. The ad claims seem too good to be true...
So, there you have it. A great product, a great price, fast easy service and a money back guarantee that I certainly have no need for. Thanks

I
am not an audiophile by any standards but I like listening to good
sounding music. For a while I hardly played any music because it just
did not sound right.... Then
came Dakiom. When I first hooked the stabilizers I was not sure I like
the sound, the bass was certainly tighter and somewhat pronounced.
After a couple of days I disconnected the Dakiom and immediately I
could tell what improvements the Dakiom had made to my system. No need
to say they went back on immediately. I particularly like listening to
Jazz and Instrumentals now as the instruments and the voice seem to
have such separation and clarity that I am now discovering some old
Cd's that I had only played once in the past. My kids have commented
about my newfound interest in playing my music loud. I plan to use
more of the Dakiom products in the new home theater I am building. I
am very impressed and have no reservation in recommending this
product. I hope the people at Dakiom keep us updated as to any new
products that they develop.

Initially I installed the stabilizers on the receiver, SACD
player and DVD player. There was a noticeable difference in
sound-stage detail and depth. Noticeable, but not incredible.
The big difference came after installing the stabilizers at the
amps (in the speakers). With Orchestral music the sound stage
was wider, deeper, more stable and defined. The music was
significantly more involving to listen to. Pop music like No
Doubt's, Hella Good (CD-Rock Steady)also benefited from a Much
more 3-D soundstage. Also, movement in the soundstage was more
fluid and realistic. Percussion was better defined and added a
degree of tension and emotion. Twist My Arm(Tragically Hip-Road
Apples) got the groove back that I haven't felt since the last
time I saw them in concert. It became that much more engaging.
Walking on the Moon (Police) sounds awesome. The propagation and
decay of the guitar chords sounded more natural. That first
night I played music for four hours straight and had to force
myself to go to bed. Everything from Kiss(Destroyer), Ike &
Tina Turner to Michael Jackson and String Quartets sounded
significantly better with the stabilizers installed. Definitely
worth the install time and well worth the money. I saw no
downside. Music is fun again! Sincerely, |

... I could dwell on the fact that the bass has become more clean, the mids more present, the trebles more sweet but at the same time more detailed, the scene has widened;
instead, what I want to underline is that the music has become a lot much pleasant. It is more "true", more persuasive,
...Without any doubt the purchase of the DAKIOM modules has been one of the most important in my audiophile life: they are indispensable!
Follow-Up:
Recently I ordered an additional R103
module, to use it with my Pioneer CD Recorder. Once in a while I use the
Pioneer as a CD player, so I decided to buy a R103 for it. The results,
paradoxically, were even greater than those obtained with my Krell CD250
player. A wider scene, tighter bass, sweeter trebles and less confusion
in the musical message. The result, anyway, seems to be more evident with
cheaper machines than with top-ends. The hi-end systems, having by its
own a better quality, benefit of DAKIOM modules as an added refinement,
while for the cheaper machines the R103 represent an huge improvement. I
recommend the DAKIOM modules as a "necessory"!

I installed the units here in
my country in my system composed of ONIX H34 Tube Amplifier
(45W/channel), Ah! Njoe Tjoeb CD Player and ONIX REFS 1 Speakers. Let me
tell you that the difference was noticeable for me at once. The sound
was transparent before but that transparency increases, the level of
detail that I was able to get was also better and the bass deserves a
not for itself:: It was the most noticeable improvement I experienced.
Tubes are sometimes blamed for not being able to have
"authority" over the low end. Well, the Dakiom gave the amp
control. The bass now is tight, with more punch but didn't loose the
musicality of the tubes. Now for the bad news: last night and after a
couple of friends, familiar with my setup, listened to my system with
the Dakioms (and loved it), I was "forced" to went to their
houses and try them in their systems. The end result: My Dakioms have
been kidnapped!!!. Thanks and congratulations for such an excellent

...Vocals and horns were now much more believable with texture and grit to them. Listening to a Bruce Hornsby cd sent chills down my spine in a few passages, not only were the details pronounced but the overall "there" aspect was mesmerizing. I have since passed the trial period and have not removed the stabilizers.
I wonder sometimes if it is my head wanting the improvement or the "real deal." All I can say is that for the money they are much more than an
i.c. upgrade or change. I am looking foward to getting some more for my M&K sub. I have spent much more for far less of an improvement in the past and I think it is great when a "tweak" like the Dakioms come along.

I guess I am maybe more critical than most as I have a formal electrical engineering background and was a componet level electronic board engineering type. I have designed high quality amps and preamps for commercial studio applications and designed recording studios for production and post production. I only write the foregoing because I am very critical about most electronic circuits which claim to do so much for so little money (this usually "snake-oil")...
I then hooked my system back up and played music for weeks. Then I removed the Dakioms for a day. My music was degraded significantly and was no longer enjoyable!!
I put them back on and listened to lots of jazz (lots of Diana
Krall, Norah Jones,Sarah Vaughn, Karin Allyson, Stanley Turrentine and the list goes on and lots of classical) and to my delight my listening pleasure was back!!
I could now hear people (Diana Krall) taking breaths and mouths opening to sing, I heard people moving around (shifting weight) on their benches while playing from one end of a piano keyboard to the other. I hear specific instruments and their individual timbre. With the Dakiom's I can pinpoint where each instrument is coming from and how deep they are in the sound stage. I can go on and on about all the now subtle nuances of the musical instruments timbres and the musicians physically handling the instruments (all the sounds which are covered up due to musical phase issues in the music playback).
The bottom line is--I don't know what's in these little well built enclosures, but they sure make a difference in the listening experience. No more listening fatigue!! And I can't imagine these Dakiom's ever coming off my system in the future. Thanks for designing these little guys!

... Voices were much clearer, many words that I previously thought were inaudible due to a singers style, became audible. The placement of instruments became more focused across the sound stage. Let me say that over the years I've spent many dollars on other products, and the Dakiom's offer the most bang for the buck of them all. After listening for a couple of weeks, the R103/A103 combo was removed. This was a huge mistake! After a couple of hours the combo went right back in. Things just sound, well in a word, better.
Home theater is a must for these products. R103's all around, that crappy sound from cable TV became much richer and more natural. The emotion of movies could be much better expressed. The sound became much more involving, which in-turn made the video more
apealing. The R103/A103 combo is one product that all should consider,
lo-fi, mid-fi, and the way high end crowd. Give these babies a shot, they will impress you.

I've had the DakiOm Audio Feedback Stabilizers in my system
for about three weeks now. I have to say that they have made a
difference in my enjoyment of both music and movies... I've always been
somewhat skeptical of devices that are supposed to improve the sound of
an audio system. There's a lot of snake oil out there... I installed the
stabilizers... What I heard was a wider/deeper soundstage and the bass
(which has always been an issue in my small room) became much more
defined. Notes from instruments have much better attack and decay and
it's much easier to distinguish between individual instruments...
Finally, how do I really know these things make a difference? My wife,
who could usually care less about such thing, asked me what I had done
to make the music sound so good in my system. That she noticed was
perhaps the biggest surprise of all.

was surprised at how the music popped out at me once I added the
Dakiom stabilizers to my CD. The sound became more like a live
performance with a much larger soundstage and presence. More
three-dimensional, smoother, and much more analog-like without
losing definition, clarity or transients. The harshness was gone
that I didn't even know that I had. Smooth as silk... The effect was additive, when I added the amplifier filters

likeness of the music exploded ... It is the most bang for the

I purchased A103 and R103. After adding A103 to my amplifier and
R103 to my CD player, I was shocked. vocals became so clear,
warm, liquid and seem to hang in the air longer. Also the bass
became tighter . I can hear singers taking breaths clearly and
imagine they open their mouths. I did not expect so much
improvement, and did not expect to hear so much missing parts by
only spending less than a hundred dollar. By installing
stabilizers, my tube CD player and amplifier seem got upgraded .

Installed the A103 and
R103 stabilizers. Totally tamed my Sony C555ES CD/SACD Player
which was prone to high frequency cross-talk/feedback running
through my Nakamichi RS10 receiver. Totally solved the problem--
added resolution, detailed soundstage and enhanced imaging. Lows
are better resolved, highs much more natural. Improved the
resolution of my EPOS ELS3's as well. The A103 coupled well with
my Clearview Golden Helix speaker cables. Absolutely satisfied
and would recommend to anyone who wants to purify the sound of
their system. It is as if I had a new system.

In
a word, the Dakiom Stabilizers are amazing. I wasn't expecting much,
since many tweaks don't work out, but with a money back guarantee it was
worth the try. I don't have a clue how these things work, but after
installing them I saw an immediate and dramatic improvement.... While my
system was highly detailed, its shortcoming (pre-Dakioms) was a thinness
and hardness on some recordings. I was on the verge of getting rid of my
speakers because of this. The Dakioms changed everything. The speakers
lost none of their resolution, yet somehow they were less bright. The
soundstage deepened and became three-dimensional. The bass tighted up
and became far more precise. After intalling the Dakioms I started
sitting back and just listening to the music rather than listening for
what I didn't like in my system. Thanks for this amazing product.

I was introduced to
Dakiom by a audiophile friend as I was new at this. He helped me fixed
the system up with and without dakiom for me to hear the different and
with different music. Even with my average system, there was a
distinct change in clarity of the music and how should I describe it,
simply better sounding. Thanks for offering it at such a bargain price
and I’m sure many people who bought your product will agree with me.

I
am a violinist so my hearing is very picky.... I
didn't even think that they would be better than my stuff when i used
them. I put the 2 A103+ on the Threshold T-400 and i put 1 X 103 with
Threshold T-2, 1 X103 with MBS platinum plus. After installing them, i
listened and couldn't believe my ears. When
i listened to Henryk Szeryng , Brahms Sonata Op. 78 3rd movement, i
was amazed. The E string was like a live performance, it felt like i
was playing it and from the same movement, ... After
three days, I listened to Dmitri Shostakovoich, Symphony No. 5 in D
minor op 47 in 4th movement, the trumpet sounded like i was in a
concert hall. Also, the big drums sounded so deep, and the whole
orchestra with everyone's position made an image very clear. Then i
decide to buy more X 103 and R 103 for my reel tape records the Otari
MK-5050 and the phono preamplifier (the Pentagon made in Germany).

... The first and biggest impression was the bass. It's tighter, clearer, and more distinct, and more of it. The mids sounded more three dimensional, the voices are less harsh. They're smooth with more soundstage. I caught myself enjoying music i didn't like that much, although they're good recordings i think. On the volume control i noticed i got more of it at a given level...
Out of all the upgrades i've done this ones the most worthy for the money. Don't hesitate it's very well worth it. (despite my long speaker wires). Buy now, the price keeps going up. Once i took them out it was just a big reverse, i put them right back in.

I was skeptical at
first. Even with the special offer, nobody likes to spend money
on things that do not work. I ordered the set of A103 and R103's
after reading the reviews. My observations are similar to the
others read here. Where I really noticed a nice difference was
in the R103 hooked up between the CD player and the preamp. It
really made CD's enjoyable to listen to for the first time. The
edge was taken off of the recordings, the dimensional aspects
seemed to be improved and that alone was well worth the money. I
did not notice much of an improvement on the A103 (the amp)
because I have a Carver low feedback amplifier, but I did try it
out with a vintage pioneer receiver and it really helped. I use
very high efficiency horns, so it was easy to tell the
difference made by the Dakiom feedback stabilizer. Removing it
from the CD player makes it sound harsh again. I found customer
service to be helpful and responsive and there are no worries
dealing with these folks. I am tight with money but I am not
going to return these. That should tell you all you need to
know! Kevin in Houston

...I'd dismiss this guy
as a crackpot... I'm usually not an early adopter, but it's not
a ton of money, ...I ordered...1 day arrival; commendably fast.
...The moment I put these in, things improved. ...Yes, removal
of DakiOm's results in collapse of the 'pleasure zone'. Back in
go the DakiOm's and you're happy again. There was definitely
another level of refinement in going back to the 192K playback -
more 3 dimensional sound. In conjunction with the DakiOm's in
the system, it sounds more realistic and pleasant as ever here
now. ...If you listen to your system for a time with the
DakiOm's in and take them out, you will RUN to put them in
again. That's pretty high praise for these little fella's.
DakiOm's, buy them now...I heartily concur.

detailed, and this was right out of the package! ... no
electronic grunge very smooth and involving, blacker background,
cleaner high's and Mid's especially on vocal's and drums
everything took on a more three dimensional soundstage without
thinning out the sound, Images are now very solid and stable. I
then decided to remove the stabilizers ... The music without the

just saying WOW!!!!! ...The "Dakiom Feedback
Stabilizers" are not tweaks, I now consider them
irreplaceable components!! ... I'm now hearing new things on
every cd I listen to. The pick strumming on guitar strings,
cymbals shimmering endlessly, background details not previously
heard... I can honestly say, "You are an idiot not to try
these things, especially considering the price." They have
made a significant improvement in my enjoyment of listening to
music. I removed them to verify my findings, and could not
scramble fast enough to put them back in. Thank you very much

This review is based on my "Home Theater Package", including 3 RCA and 3 amplifier units.
I have logged significant time on these devices. Immediately noticable is the way they tame harshness and edges around music and movies. Eliminating these noises significantly reduces listening fatigue and allows more of the intended sound to come through. I believe the benefits are primarily "addition by subtraction". This is not a bad thing, these noise reductions result in a very real and immediate upgrade of the sound. For the price, these devices are a great deal...

I was a little
skeptical when I read the claims for your feedback
stabilizers... The effect that your stabilizers had was dramatic and fully
noticeable from the moment that the first strains of the Best of
Van Morrison started. The sound is much more alive and clean.
Highs are more distinct as are lows. In fact, now I can hear
individual instruments that were previously lost in the music.
Others have reported a wider soundstage. I agree with them. I am
no longer a skeptic. Thank you for making these stabilizers

of the R103s, one for my preamp, and one for my Denon SACD player...
Now, the sound improvement in some tweaks could be considered
subjective, but the difference in the sound here is obvious, on several
levels. The sound is more open, the soundstage is more natural and wide.
The sound quality at high volume levels is more clear. The bass is
tighter... But I didn't have to take them out of the loop to appreciate

Looking to buy a better mousetrap? Maybe you don't even know that you have mice. In reality every stereo system has mice, some may exhibit even larger
rodents... I did get a big improvement when the cables were upgraded, but face it; some of us are looking for ways keep improving the sound from our systems, so enter the Dakiom
products... For music, I started with the Grateful Dead's From the Mars Hotel on CD focusing on track 2 China Doll. You guessed it I was too lazy to turn an LP. It blew me away. Changed to Mulligan Meets Monk, again sounding very
good... My bottom line is this. I think you should spend a reasonable amount on cables but don't go overboard until you try these products first as I think you will find them a most welcome addition to your system. My plans are to leave them in place and maybe even order one or two more R103's to complete my system
needs...

I first played some live tracks from the "VH-1 Storytellers" CD album, which I like because there is such vocal presence on it. I immediately noticed both how wide the soundstage had become and how vocalists were much better fixed at the center of the image. Then, I tried Dave Holland's double CD "Extended Play," which is a live CD. This CD's strength is its ability to test imaging and system speed, especially with some very aggressive vibraphone and drum passages. It also tests nuance, as some of the trombone passages are very "breathy." With this CD, all the imaging, speed, and nuances were preserved, but the soundstage again was just immense. So far, so good. Then, I tested
with Bob Belden's "Black Dahlia," a moody big band suite, with many solo acoustic image passages that are very
closely-miked. The presence was very impressive indeed and I was sold on
Dakiom... I also find I can play the system louder with less fatigue.

Well, here goes. I purchased these two pieces at the Dakiom site...
and have been very pleased with the results of both . My equipment is not the best available but, to a Middle Management, married with three teenagers guy like me it is the best that I can afford. Don't get me wrong, it's all quality stuff, and I love what I
have... From the moment that I hooked these baby's up (which by the way only takes about a minute or so) I could hear the improvement. Not a subtle improvement, A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT. The entire staging had changed, the mids were more crisp and detailed, the bass was instantly deeper, not boomy and unnatural, but deep and detailed, and the highs have taken on a new life. Man, I don't know what is in each little box, and I not sure that I care, what I do know is that they work and work at an amazing level of execution... If you are reading this trying to decide if these products are worth their salt, take my advice they
are...

In order to embark on this review of the Dakiom R-103 and A-103 I will try to explain my High End journey with regards to tweaking a mediocre system...
So being the ever motivated tweaker that I am I started adding stuff... I was impressed then
... Sure, I enlarged my soundstage. I got even more palpability. Good Stuff. But I missed the sheen of... well maybe I didn't. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't." Audiophiles listening to cd get high from their highs. Whether it's pleasant or not, tis the truth.
After a burn in period, removing and reinstalling the Dakiom dudes gets me to this litteral conclusion. "Yup, I likes it". The R-103 and A-103 may not clean the lens of your spectacles. They might not have
even been scrutinized as much as they were, were it not for them being so darn musical in my system.
"Tweakery, It's my obsession." Punch line. There isn't one. This stuff, the Dakiom dudes, makes me want to be "Singing in the rain...I'll be sing in the rain." Congrats on a fine product indeed.

Dear Dakiom, I have installed 2 A103’s with plugs neatly to
Music Hall MAMBO I/A and an R103 to CAMBRIDGE AZUR 640 CD
player. In my first listen I noticed a distinctly
"clearer" sound and more details playing thru Infinity
Intermezzo 4.1. As time passed, further listening jaded me to
the effects of your products as I focused on the deficiencies of
my system. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t ever consider removing
them for a with/without comparison as I have full confidence
that your products improve my system’s sound. Over time I now
appreciate the improvements your products have brought. I still
have no interest in with/without comparison (why bother removing
them when I KNOW I prefer them on?). I heartly recommend
them to anyone with a sound suystem and would purchase your
products for future personal use. Thank you, Sincerely.

There isn't that much I can add to what so many people have already said about the upgrades from
Dakiom. To begin with it's just that: they are like upgrade, not just tweaks. You will notice what they do to your system, you won't have to hope or imagine. It is so obvious that you may even choose not to like the change...though you will. Its like cheating the system and getting more than you
deserve... I know its hard to trust an add promising so much, but trust these guys...they really work.

... My first impression after installing the R103/A103 "Special Package" (2 sets) was that my system had a slightly softer sound quality. The detail was still there and the base seemed to be the same, but the "stinging" feeling I tend to notice from many pop music recordings was a lot less noticeable...
After a few weeks, I removed the feedback stabilizers and almost immediately noticed that I preferred the way my system sounded when I had them installed. Without the stabilizers, the "stinging" sensation definitely does become irritating... I've tried removing the feedback stabilizers a few more times, and I still get the same impression. I'm convinced that soundstage imaging is definitely better with these stabilizers installed. I am continuing to keep them on my system. Thank you DakiOm for a great product. I am a very satisfied customer.

...At first I thought that they caused the very lowest frequency bass to roll-off a bit too soon, and was
preparing to return them. NOW HEAR THIS: the customer reviews are correct. You must listen to these devices for awhile in order to understand what they are doing. The low frequency bass which I thought I was losing was not low frequency at all. It was harmonic distortion! The base I am hearing now with these stabalizers is actually much cleaner, with a more noticable "grind" to the bass instead of the previous WOW. The high end is much cleaner and when I auditioned them for my wife the first time,
she objectively stated that the sound was "better" and cleaner with the stabalizers than without.
Congratulations Dakion for a truly great product. Anything coming through my system sounds more articulate now. I wouldn't return these at all!

...I then tried the Dakioms on both my Carver M500 amplifier with the Transcendent preamp, and on my Kailin EL84 tube integrated amp. The stabilizers improved the resolution of both amplifiers with no deleterious effects whatever. The improvement is especially noticeable with the Kailin amp which went from being what I considered a rather poor sounding amplifier to a rather good sounding amp just by the addition of the
Dakioms. In summary, my experience has shown me that the effects of these stabilizers are system dependent. It seems that they will enhance the resolution of any system, but that in some systems there might be a penalty in the area of smoothness. The key to smoothing things out again seems to be using a tube preamp, or in the case of an integrated amplifier, a tube input stage. Another thing I should mention is that the Dakioms seem to sound better now that I have been using them for a long while in my system. I know that they are not supposed to have a breaking in period, and that, therefore, this may be an indication that I have simply adjusted to the sound of them rather than an indication that they have broken in. Whatever the reason, my system does seem to sound better with them now that more time has passed. At present, I am using both the R103 and the MA103s in my main system. At this point in time, it seems to me that the Transcendent tube preamplifier adds back enough of the smoothness lost to the Dakioms that the combination of the Dakioms with the Transcendent provides a more satisfying overall presentation than I get by leaving out these stabilizers altogether...

I thought my system was pretty
stunning as it was but these little boxes made some really listenable
improvements to the sound with only one potential downside. I
immediately heard great new texture in vocals and instruments from low
to high. The soundstage seemed to deepen and widen a bit while bass
notes took on an additional depth that was not there before.... My one
reservation at the time was that I thought the newfound clarity and
texture imparted a bit of additional glare to the high end.... That
said, I next added a Musical Fidelity tube buffer to the system that
irradicated any sense of glare and in combination with your stabilizers
has made my setup that much more musical than it already was. At the end
of the day, I think your stabilizers are fantastic additions and well
worth the money even without the tube buffer....

the little boxes from DakiOm bring great satisfaction - a must
have in the tweaker's arsenal.… I tested this
"smoothness" effect with the hottest recording in my
collection; "Water Music of the Impressionists"...
Played at reasonable volume, your eardrums feel like they are
being hit by the piano's hammers - not exactly what one expects
from water or impressionists. Take heart, the DakiOm R103 tamed
this beast and transformed the listening experience. Finally,
after 20 years I could listen to this recording and enjoy its
musicality and artistry... The true drama begins with the test
of the A103 units... No rest for the weary tweaker. Before my
back hit the sofa cushion, the improvement in Shirley's
soundstage was clearly apparent. The little mystery box
obviously helps stereo output, but what about multi-channel? ...
Again, no careful listening was required. The "being
there" quotient was off the charts with the stereo mix...
Now four channels were under the influence of DakiOm... WOW! The
promise of multi-channel realized! Suddenly, immersed in 3D
sound, great separation (when called for) and a big sound stage.
Chicago jumped out of the speakers. The ultimate DVD-A, Linkin
Park's "Reanimation" is always kick ass but with the
DakiOm A103 is totally outrageous! Thanks for the great product.

I've become suspicious
of tweaks... It is a pleasure, therefore, to find one that
actually does work. Believe me, the DakiOm on system works! ...
I was delighted with the result. There was more air between the
instruments, deeper and well-defined bass without damage to the
midrange. In fact, once one got over the immense amount of
previously unheard detail, one could forget about the DakiOm and
simply enjoy the music... It takes real quality to make poor or
mediocre records sound good... While the DakiOm cannot remove
this distortion entirely, nothing can, by reducing it and
improving everything else it makes even bad records listenable.
The effect on good records is truly outstanding. The test of the
new device is usually with no one wants to immediately remove it
from the system. Far from feeling this way, I would not now give
up the DakiOm for anything... I hope the audio press will review
the DakiOm for it certainly deserves to become well-known.

... The highs have lost a good deal of their digital harshness,
but none of the detail or sparkle. The mid-range has become more
liquid, better integrated into the high-end... But it is in the
bottom end where your product really shines. The bass has lost
some speed, some tightness (my system was ultra-fast, tight) and
been replaced with NATURAL bass. The kind of bass you hear in a
tympani, deep, relaxed without being flabby. In other words not
the bass from an audiophile system, but the bass from real world
instruments! Your product has allowed the music to come through

The sum is greater than the parts. I bought two R103s and two
MA103s for my monoblocks and tried them in various combinations
and, while putting one on the Preamplifier was probably the most
revealing single improvement, it was the effect of the whole
package that makes this a worthwhile tweak. The sound is clearer
and there is an improvement in detail. The main benefit from the
MA103s was a tightening of the bass and the reduction in
unwanted boominess in the bass that certain recordings produce
in my undersized room. I loved my system before I installed the
stabilizers and I like it even better with them but I consider
the improvement subtle, it is not like a component upgrade and
for $217.85 it is worth it to me, but it is not a dramatic
upgrade. A word of caution I would like to offer is that as with
most upgrades, once you have experienced them you don't want to
be without them. |

DAKIOM, I AM PLEASED TO
SAY THAT THE STABILIZERS HAVE BEEN WORTH THE INVESTMENT. AT
FIRST, I INSTALLED ONLY THE STABILIZERS FOR THE DVD,PRE-AMP.,AND

MOSTLY HEARD IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MIDRANGE, WHICH WAS SMOOTHER,

ADDING STABILIZERS WOULD DO FOR THE AMPS. THAT IS WHEN I WAS

...I used the Dakiom unit with
my Panasonic Digital Receiver (SAXR25) not knowing if there was any
feedback in a digital amp.... Since my amp is digital and I don't think
it uses much feedback if any, the sonic differences were slight but
there. I felt as if it took away a touch of the digital glare and harsh
that I was hearing on my amp. It also gave the impression that any
background noise was removed a bit but these changes weren't "mind
blowing". They were there and good. So the Dakiom proved itself a
worthy device for digital amps but my tale doesn't end here. My friend
has a Marantz receiver, which we know uses feedback for sure. So I
thought what the heck, I will take it to his and pop it in his system.
Since it is so easy to hook up and it doesn't weigh much it was easy for
my friend to say yes. In his system the Dakiom HA103 proved to be much
more valuable. Background noise was all but eliminated, the midrange
became much clearer (yes, think of that often used analogy of someone
using Windex on a dirty window…it wasn't terribly messy before but now
everything is vivid and sharp). The HA103 I think is more attuned for
analog circuitry than for digital switching amps and so it has stayed at
my friends house (he isn't really an audiophile but even he couldn't
refute the stark changes in his system…changes for the better). My
Verdict: The HA103 is very much a winner when paired up with an analog
receiver but is only a moderately successful when paired with digital
amps like mine. Therefore I highly recommend the Dakiom line of products
when used with mainstream analog amplifiers and if you need that last
bit of smoothing out for your digital, then by all means go for it. It's
a small price to pay for such sweet returns on your music.

...Both systems were very enhanced by your stereo package in
that the soundstage became more three dimensional. Instruments,
and singers sounded more realistically full bodied, and detailed.
Their placement in the soundfield was more distinct. The quality
of long term listenability was definitely improved. This
enjoyable musicality is a characteristic that one instantly
misses when your stabilizers are removed,
just as your advertisement suggested... your
feedback stabilizers truly deserve a "best buy" rating.

...The first minute wasn't impressive as I was rushing for work so I just let my system run for 8 hours when I wasn't home. Well, I didn't know why people said the Krell KAV-300i sounded a bit on the bright side until the R103/A103 combo kicked in. I don't know what magic is embedded in these magical boxes but I noticed the Dakiom took the edge of the brightness. The audio sounds smoother and more appealing to my sensitive eardrums. This device is what I was seeking for the past 6 months. I highly recommend the Dakiom R103/A103 to any Krell KAV users. Maybe the A103+ for KAV-500i since 500i is more power.

...The first listening
test (only about 15 minutes) did not yield any appreciable
difference ... I decided to break them in for 12 hours... My
second listening test came last night and lasted for about an
hour and a half. I decided to follow the instructions on the
website and listen to the same cuts of music with the Dakioms
for about an hour, and then I tried listening without the
Dakioms for another hour. This listening session confirmed that
there was indeed a positive difference in my system ... When she
sang "I pray 'Lord have mercy on me...'", the
goosebumps came quick. They stayed through the rest of the song.
The song opens up with the words "To my beloved, who breaks
my heart." The vocal harmonization seemed tighter and yet
more relaxed with the individual voices becoming easily apparent
with the Dakioms in place. After listening for about an hour
with the Dakioms in place, I took them out to listen for
differences. Eva Cassidy's CD seemed to be a little more forward
and quite frankly, harsh... The sibilance apparent without the
Dakioms in place literally hurt to listen to. I ended up
listening without the Dakioms for only half an hour, because
listening without them gave me a headache. Perhaps having a
headache speaks for itself …

... I approached the stabilizers with a little
disinclination... I proceeded and must acknowledge that I am pleased. I would quantify and rate the improvement on my JBL mains at between 30-40 percent with most of the gains originating
from the following perceived areas: 1. Extended and pronounced mid Bass...
2. Better soundstage and wider dispersion on vocals especially female artists...
3. Enhanced and sharper acoustics on stringed instruments... The R103's did especially well on three DVD Audio multichannel recordings...
The vocals were also noticeably airy and a pleasure to listen to even at higher volumes.
Thoroughly enjoyed the DAKIOM A103 and will recommend this unit as an excellent and cost effective upgrade.

a noticeable improvement in the mids. Also, as I have heard described,
the vocalists are clearer. I'm not sure what you guys have done, but
whatever it made for an improvement in the soundstage... You have a
fine product, at a fair price. (Something that is needed in this
continuing world of cheap tweaks and voodoo science). Thanks

...Dakiom certainly cleared up the lower registers, making everything less congested and hence more transparent. There was the right amount of clout, depth and timing...
i found better sound staging, the speakers seem to disappear a bit more. Voices seem to have a more analogue quality, sounding less cupped. Instruments are delineated into their own sound space... Of course, proper positioning of speakers and sensible layout of cables also contribute to a better sound, but i say this system could rival that up to 2000 bucks and more.

... quickly noticed the little AR speakers that usually do not do much, bloom into
a nice sounding backstage speaker sound. The Bose Am5 was more precise, neither boomy nor
sharp ear piercing. Instead, a clean and accurate sound. As I listen longer, I notice the clarity of
separation of both highs and lows on all speakers. Nice natural sound with very little ear
fatigue... There were more noticeable effects I never heard before. The lows are low with no
distortion, highs with no ear piercing effects... Ok, lets put a movie... Wow big improvement!
... The surround sound was very clear and clean. The effect sound in the background kept me thinking there were people out side
making noise, -very realistic. One thing for sure, DakiOm has made my cheap rear speakers gain some meatJ and my system
sound noticeably better. This DakiOm gadget is a must if you want to make your mass produced mid-fi /
low-fi system sound like an expensive system. Good Job!

I started with 2 R103's ... I wasn't sold. I then placed 2
A103's at the speaker outputs ... Now,
the wizardry behind these 4 little electronic boxes began to
bloom ... My first impression was that instruments and voices had
a greater degree of separation. I also noticed an expanded sound
stage wherin the speakers dissappeared to an even greater degree
than I am used to... The
clarity and definition of all instruments in the soundfield
increased noticeably, particularly the bass which was decidedly
tighter and truer to a live performance... I asked
my wife to come up and listen ... She
typically could care less about the quest for accurate musical
reproduction ... She
described what she heard as a feeling, not an intellectual
comment as I was expecting. She felt the music "moving
around and through her", something she was struck by...

... I first installed a R103 between my CD player and pre-amp. The
soprano (Lott) singing Richard Strauss's Orchestral Songs
vol.1 (Chandos 9054) seemed more
musically expressive and purer of tone.
Next, a R103 between pre- and power amps further
"relaxed" the musical presentation- the upper strings
glowed from within, eliminating the slightest glare I had been
chasing for months. Finally,
adding both A103's, I was amazed. My listening concert hall
position has been relocated from way back underneath the
low-slung first balcony to about 15th row, center section
orchestra floor. These
little boxes are now an integral part of my *system- Relaxation,
Greater Detail AND more Natural (S)Pacing- thanks Dakiom!

...My system is in my office so I listen to it for at least 8
hours a day. Consequently, I know the sound of this system
VERY well and know exactly when something has changed ... Much
to my surprise the stabilizers made
a very worthwhile improvement.
They simply made things better. The
soundstage is deeper and wider. The low end is tighter. The mids
are more fleshed-out and the treble is clearer but with no added
brightness. Since I
listen all day long, I am very sensitive to bright and edgy
treble. The Stabilizers made the treble clearer but with more
"air" and depth. Bottom
Line: Excellent product and well worth the money!

... I tried the R 103 on the
Parasound, it sounds slightly bright and potentially harsh, and I noticed that the "personality" of the player had softened and was slightly warmer. The voices, Casandra Wilson, betty carter, Sound slighty more breathy... I added the A-103 after hearing my Ruark demos for a few days. The Ruarks are Honest and more ballanced
tonealy. The A-103 rounded out the sound, made it less harsh, the Bass was extedned slightly... I've paid twice this much money for cones with questionable improvement, the DaKiOm as a tweak, gave me much more bang for the buck. Thanks for the opertunity to review this product.

detected a change in the music coming from my system. So i
decided to pull them out ... After i reinstalled the
stabilizers it became evident of what change it had made for
the music. ...the music was more
transparent and had more air... With
the b&w speakers, sometimes highs tend to be a little bright
or grainy. The stabilizers made a noticeable improvement there
which is something i have been trying to remove from my speakers
for awhile ... I
can honestly say that these devices do make a difference and i
do mean a real audible one... they
do work and are more cost effective than alot of other upgrades
out there such as cabling and even component upgrade.

...The Dakiom R103 is definitely a worthwhile tweak. I installed it on my MusicHall CD25 player a couple months ago and instantly heard the improvement. The low end of music was tighter and more realistic. Mids and highs were clearer. I liked it so much I forgot to take it off to compare/contrast and write my review
(d'oh, and sorry Dakiom)... I also tried the A103 on my amplifier, an Odyssey Audio Dual Mono...
In my particular setting with my ears, the R103 was an excellent value, the A103 was not. To be fair, I am going to try the A103 on a few other receivers I own and give it another chance.

I received my order of 1 Amplifier Stabilizer A103 and 2 R103
Audio Player Stabilizer. I first placed 1 R103 at Phillips
DVD963SA, at first the sound seems like cassette tape player. So
I thought maybe needs a break-in. But later on I find myself
enjoying the music. I then decided to try out A103 on my Musical
Fidelity X-A2 amplifier which are connected to NHT SB3 bookshelf
speakers. It was somewhat hard to tell any difference, but I
noticed the volume control level on amp was much less than I
usually turn up to enjoy my favorite music. The A103 did
increased the harmonics from the amp which were noticeable later
on. I guess when I ordered Dakiom products I was expecting alot
for my listening pleasures. But I am not disappointed of their
results, they got me! |

...At first I ordered one R103 and one
A103.
Attaching the A103 to the power amplifier’s ... resulted in a slight improvement. Adding the
R103 again
caused another jump in the clarity of the audio signal ...
Instruments and voices took on a more natural timbre. The
edginess of voices and "hard struck" piano keys
mellowed... I decided to purchase another set of the R103
and A103. I
attached the new R103 module to the Preamplifier output. Again
there was an increase in the clarity of instruments and voices...
Voices
became more "breathy", silky, and "sensual"
in character.
Soundstage depth increased... Over an extended period of
listening, these characteristics become much more evident and
you found yourself being drawn into the music rather that
suffering from "listener’s fatigue"... So for those
music lovers who can afford $400 to $600 (roughly $100 per
module), I
highly recommend trying these modules in your system before
laying down long green on expensive cables and/or component
upgrades.

Overall, I find that using the
Dakiom filters has a positive influence on the sound of my system. I
hear more details, tighter and better defined bass and a more fluid
midrange. However, ... The Dakiom filters may not work well with every
component (tube equipment users take note!),... I was struck by how
utterly smooth and sugar coated my system sounded. But I soon realized
that I lost quite a bit of high frequency detail and output. The sound
was rolled off to a fault. IC filters (R103) ...did improve the sound of
my Sony XA777ES SACD/CD player and LG cd-recorder but I still prefer the
sound of my tube DAC sans filter. The sound is more vibrant and alive
with the tube DAC although it is slightly grainier... I gather from Kim
that it's a hit and miss thing using the ic filters with tube gear. Amp
filters (A103) ... The sound became more open, with greater separation
and better-defined bass. It was a subjective 10% improvement! All in
all, the Dakiom's are well worth checking out, especially at the current
promotional prices. Even if the ic filters aren't performing optimally
in my system, I'm still keeping them as they will come in useful if/when
I no longer have tubes in my system. Recommended.

Initial setup: I set up the Dakiom R103's
...the sound was
much less then spectacular: recessed midrange, a softening of
the sound overall ... However, signs of what good things they
were capable of were also evident: a wider and deeper
soundstage at the outer edges, and deeper & tighter bass. I email'd Dakiom to ask
... they got back to me with the
thought that the modifications done to both of my players made
them more susceptible to the slight capacitive load of the
R103's... I
put this story in to make others aware that there may be
incompatibilities (noted on the Dakiom web site, BTW)... I
think the bottom line is this: the Dakiom units, in my system,
are proven to be a very good deal at retail $100 each.
They do more good for musical enjoyment, but aren't perfect...
Congratulations are definitely in order to Dakiom. They have
something that does a heck of a lot of good for a heck of a
little money. In
my system,
they were bettered by other products, but they all use different
technology for different purposes, and each "better"
unit was at least 3 times as expensive as the Dakiom... They
offer a trial period, so
it is a no-brainer to at least give them a spin. You might find
a possible incompatibility like I did. But I would guess that
most folks will like them enough to keep them for somewhere in
their system(s).
DakiOm: It is unfortunate that there was some incompatibility
between the R103 and the modded Pioneer DV-45A as we would
expect good results with a stock DV-45A. Despite not being an
ideal system for the stabilizers, Mr. S. still heard many of
the good qualities of the stabilizers (increased soundstage,
increased bass quantity and quality) that others have written
about.

My original intent with this tweak was to clean up the sound
on my main stereo system... the Dakiom Feedback Stabilizer did
not make a noticeable change ... So
my final and most successful attempt was to add both the
Feedback Stabilizer products to my bedroom sound system. This
system consists of a McIntosh 4300V receiver which is a quality
product but with dated technology. Predictability, it responded
with a very noticeable improvement in the depth and clarity of
the sound. As is the
case with many stereo tweaks, every system responds differently.
I would recommend at least trying this tweak as in one of my
systems it more than earned its acquisition costs.

I think I have a good
system with NAD CD player C541, NAD Amplifier C352 and speakers
JK Acoustics Optima IV (a dutch HiFi specialist http://www.jkacoustics.nl/).
The relation in price between the components is 1/1/3.5. But the
female voices were sometimes too sharp. The voice of Lillian
Boutté I used as point of reference in the song 'He touched me'
on the cd 'Music is my life'. When I heared it at the first time
it was in the big cd-part of a library in my country The
Netherlands, with speakers of good quality. I rent the cd, but
at home I need the equalizer on 1 kHz up and 2.4kHz down to feel
a part of the same emotion (at that time with Mission 720LE).
And also with Optima IV speakers that are five times more
expansive, it was not possible to feel the emotion of the first
time. The voice sounds to sharp. After installing the A 103 for
the amplifier I thougt to hear less sharpness, but with the A
103 and the R 103 for the CD-player the voice is without the
sharpness, smoother. Very nice. And there is more. I can hear a
greater depth of every speaker and of the speakers together.

... I knew about Dakiom
not from Audiogon but from my friend. He showed me an AB
comparison with and without Dakiom filters on his Hi Fi system
and I was very stun with what Dakiom can do to his system....
When I hooked up the set onto my system, there was a distortion
on my left channel. I contacted Dakiom and Kim has been very
helpful and confirmed that my Meridian 588 CDP is not compatible
with X103 and I have to return the X103 and keep the A103. With
the A103 in my system, I can hear the sound stage is wider and
vocals is more separated from the music. The bass is better with
no lost of details. I do not know what is inside the little box
but it somehow makes the sound more analog and adds a little
warm to the songs.
